Pottery trial lessons
with an electric potter's wheel
Pottery lessons are available with advanced bookings. Classes run for about two hours starting at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 8 p.m. Class sizes are limited to eight people. Classes cost 4,180 yen including tax. 2 or 3 works are made from 800g of clay by both handmaking and a potter's wheel. Pieces made by guests can be shipped domestically or internationally, however, the cost of shipping is not included in the price. Be advised that it may take a few months to receive your piece, as it needs to be fired and glazed.

In case of cancellation or rescheduling of a trial class, please let us know 3 days before reservation time.
For the same day cancellation 100% fee is charged.

This is a traditional Japanese building built 70 years ago. It locates in a rural area surrounded on two sides by Tokachi and Yubari mountain range. You can enjoy a quiet view from the window. But it is only 1500 meters from Furano station, very convenient.
In the gallery, a lot of ceramic works created by Yasutaka Otsuki are on display. In the cafe, you can have lunch and sweets, drinks with his original dishes and cups. Vegetables used in the menu are homegrown or neighbor farmers'. Each menu is limited to 10 a day.
It is a small cafe, so maximum of 4 people per a group are available. We are not allowing in groups 5 people or more, sorry.
